3 Nights in Copenhagen
(with a bonus trip to Sweden) We’ve just got back from an incredible 3-night break in Copenhagen, and it honestly exceeded expectations. It’s one of those cities that manages to feel relaxed and laid-back while still offering loads to see and do, perfect for a short getaway. We flew with British Airways from London Heathrow Airport on Wednesday 11th March, and the journey couldn’t have been easier. The flight was only around 90 minutes to 2 hours, so it barely feels like you’

Our Stay at Victoria Falls
After an unforgettable few days exploring the wilderness of Botswana, our journey continued with one final light aircraft flight that would take us towards one of the most famous natural wonders in the world. We boarded our small aircraft for the final leg of the trip, flying for around one hour and ten minutes before landing in Kasane. The airport itself is small and relaxed, still technically within Botswana, but perfectly positioned close to both the Zimbabwean and Zambian

Our Unforgettable Trip to the Okavango Delta
On Monday 23rd February, my partner Adam and I took the eleven-hour flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg. When we landed at 7am in Joburg, luckily our luggage had been checked all the way through to our next flight, so we simply went through transit immigration before heading to international departures, where we enjoyed a flat white and some snacks while waiting for our connecting flight to Maun in Botswana. At 12pm it was time to board our flight to Maun, a very quic

Flight Review: Long Haul Economy on British Airways A380
London Heathrow to Johannesburg Last week I flew from London Heathrow to Johannesburg on the British Airways A380, travelling long haul in economy on the 6pm departure. The Aircraft & Seating The British Airways A380 is an impressive aircraft, and despite flying in economy, the cabin felt spacious compared to smaller long haul planes. We chose to sit upstairs, where the economy cabin is configured in a 2-4-2 layout rather than the more typical 3-4-3 found on the lower level.

I Never Thought I’d Go on a Cruise, Until I Did
Why Explora Journeys is changing cruising for a younger generation Until last year, I always said the same thing: “I’d never go on a cruise.” In my head, cruising was stuffy, claustrophobic, overly structured - and, if I’m being brutally honest, something designed more for an older generation who no longer wanted (or were able) to travel independently. It felt slow. Formal. A little dated. And very much not me. I’m someone who loves travel. I love discovering new places, seei

My Visit to Grecotel Corfu Imperial
Last June, I was lucky enough to spend three nights at Grecotel Corfu Imperial as part of a hosted retreat with Aspire, and from the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a resort that truly understands refined, effortless luxury. Set on its own private peninsula on Corfu’s exclusive Kommeno Peninsula, Corfu Imperial feels wonderfully secluded, yet never remote. Surrounded by olive groves, manicured gardens and endless shades of Ionian blue, it’s the kind of place where ti

Dannie’s Trip to Lapland
This is Dannie’s blog from her four-day trip to Lapland, a place many people instantly associate with children, Santa, and festive magic. Lapland, you say? Isn’t that just for kids? Well… not this kind of Lapland. This trip is designed entirely around adults (who are still kids at heart). Think longer husky safaris, extended snowmobile rides across frozen landscapes, late nights chasing the Northern Lights, and fully immersing yourself in the breathtaking winter wonderland th

What To Pack Lapland Edition
I’m currently sat in my hotel room at the wonderful Davvi Arctic Lodge in Finnish Lapland, watching the snow fall outside and feeling very smug about the fact that I’m warm. This is my fourth consecutive year coming to Lapland, and every year it somehow manages to get a little colder. So far this week, temperatures have dropped to -35°C, which means I can confidently say I’ve learnt (sometimes the hard way) exactly what works when it comes to dressing for the Arctic. Lapland

A South African Escape
After months of anticipation, I finally packed my bags for a long-awaited journey to South Africa, a country that has been calling my name for years. The adventure began with an overnight flight from Heathrow to Johannesburg, landing early in the morning, a little bleary-eyed but buzzing with excitement. A Warm Welcome in Johannesburg A lot of clients ask me if they should stay in Johannesburg or move straight on…. I decided to stay and decide for myself. Johannesburg is situ
